The 2021 Ford Ranger is a mid-size truck that has the power you need and the style you want. With several models available, as well as bed lengths and cab sizes, it's easy to customize this truck to perfectly suit your needs.
Trim Levels
The 2021 Ford Ranger is available in three trim levels: XL, XLT, and Lariat. You also have the choice of an extended or crew cab and two different truck bed lengths. Four new exterior colors are available for the 2021 model year, including Cactus Grey, Carbonized Grey, Cyber Orange, and Velocity Blue. With the Black appearance package, you'll stand apart from the rest with 18-inch wheels, bedside decals, a new grille, and a black Ford oval badge.
Engine
The 2021 Ford Range has a 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine under the hood. The engine produces 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. It is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
Both two- or four-wheel drive are available for the 2021 Ranger. It gets an EPA-estimated 21 miles per gallon in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the highway when equipped as rear-wheel drive. When equipped with all-wheel drive, the truck gets an EPA estimated 20 miles per gallon in the city and 24 miles per gallon on the highway.
The Ranger can tow up to 7,500 pounds and has a maximum payload of 1,860 pounds. If you prefer to leave the pavement behind and head out for a day on the trails, opt for the available Tremor Off-Road package, which includes magnetic-painted alloy wheels, a new skid plate, off-road hoop-step style running boards, a modified off-road suspension, front and rear tow hooks, and six upfitter switches. Also available is the FX4 package, which comes with a specially tuned suspension, beefy tires, and a locking rear differential.
Interior
When the Ranger is set up with the SuperCrew cab, it has seating for up to five passengers. When outfitted as a SuperCab, it has seating for up to four passengers.
All trim levels of the Ranger feature a USB port, a four-speaker audio system, and a Wi-Fi hotspot as standard equipment. The XLT and Lariat trim levels also include an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability so you can easily access your favorite playlists, apps, and more. A 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system and integrated navigation system are also available options. The Lariat SuperCrew trim features leather-trimmed seating surfaces, heated front seats, driver and passenger bucket seats that are eight-way power adjustable, and a flow-through console and floor shift.
Safety Features
The 2021 Ford Ranger includes a number of passive and active safety equipment to help ensure a safe drive. The Ranger earned four out of five stars in overall safety by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Standard safety equipment in the truck includes a rear view camera, anti-lock brakes, automated emergency braking, curve control, and forward-collision warning. Available safety equipment includes rear cross-traffic alert, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control.
